What is love?
"What does love look like? It has the hands to help
others. It has the feet to hasten to the poor and needy. It has eyes to
see misery and want. It has the ears to hear the sighs and sorrows of
men. That is what love looks like." ~ St. Augustine
Slowly, I am learning that the way to overcome the devil drama that is in my head, which is by focusing on other people. We must love our neighbors as if they were our best friend (Mt 7:12). We too, need other people for help, encouragement, and fellowship. Scripture makes it clear that we must "come together as the church of God." Jesus told us to go and help other people; healing, praying, and teaching others how to make peace with God and stay continually connected with God. We need the community of the church to continue to grow in Christ (Eph 4:11-16), be encouraged (He 10:24-25), and stay connected to God through the knowledge and faith of His Word (Rm 10:17).
